HexEdit dosn't really tell you the location of the templates you've created, or where to place them if you want to create one, or have DL'd one.
The location of the folder to place the templates in is: "C:\Documents and Settings\*user*\Application Data\ECSoftware\HexEdit"
you can create a shortcut to that folder using the directory above 
Template names must always specify the file extension as "_txt.xml"
To use templates, IMO, the best option to use is 'Edit/Templates/Split Window' be sure to turn on the Auto Sync (3 red arrows) to have the template UD as you edit, or select the hex of the node you select

I just got a report back... the 'Split Window' command is not in the location I posted...
I currently don't know where it's at since I have a modded UI anyone mind giving feedback on it's location??
